WG »Planning and Management« |
|
The WG »Planning and Management« concentrates on the development,
implementation and steering of integrated and implementation-orientated
revitalisation processes, in particular on methodical approaches.
Topics
The WG will deals with processes during the development of an integrated "master/ action plan" to
-
prevent conflicts of functions and users (different demands of users
and functions on the historical city; preserving the historical
setting)
- find sound and balanced functions and users (which functions and users enrich the historical city)
Culural Palace in Arad
The main questions for the WG within the integrative development process are:
-
How to combine the needs of tourism with the needs of a competitive and
attractive city (demands of (local) economy and inhabitants - quality
of life)?
- How can a healthy mixture of functions be secured?
- How to mobilise and integrate the local stakeholders in the sustainable
revitalisation process of the historical city ("how to involve private
resources and combine them with public ones")?
Local activities
The local activities concentrate on the participatory elaboration of
development plans and revitalisation measures for the historical areas.
Particular participation methods will be tested as e.g. a future
workshop and a permanent forum involving public and private actors.
