Sanok is located in the ecologically „cleanest" region of Poland. Its cultural heritage is the Renaissances castle, the folk architecture museum and the old town market.

Within Hist.Urban the municipality of Sanok will

• elaborate a development plan for a historical quarter, testing participatory methods during the planning process with the aim to facilitate the implementation of results;
• develop guidelines for the visualisation of historical tourists routes to promote tourism;
• investigate possible uses of monumental buildings for economic, administration, tourists and other functions.
