The Institute for Regional Development and Structural Planning (IRS) researches the social, economic and spatial urban and regional development and its governance. IRS Building

• develop a base-line study on state-of-the-art/ best-practice revitalization approaches for historical;
• elaborate the transnational manual on integrated and implementation-orientated revitalisation approaches for small and medium sized historical towns to promote a sustainable development of historical cities;
• support the PPs with its experience in integrated revitalisation approaches.
