Main Actions

Local Activities
Conferences and »Summer Academies«
Transnational Manual

Local Activities

The project partners develop and implement local activities, together with local actors essential for their implementation. Local activities are integrated and implementation-orientated concepts, studies, plans, guidelines, processes, etc., valorising the built-cultural heritage for the sustainable revitalisation process. Some of them will be implemented in form of pilot projects.

Conferences and »Summer Academies«

For the exchange of experience, the know-how transfer and networking among the project partners conferences and »summer academies« take place. The »Summer Academies« focus on the thematic focal points of Hist.Urban , whereas the conferences focus on the exchange of experience and results of the local activities. Transnational Manual

The Transnational Manual - as the final output of Hist.Urban - will demonstrate special integrated and implementation-orientated revitalisation approaches for historical towns, giving advice how to implement them, serving as a guideline for the project partners and interested parties ("How can these strategies and instruments be implemented?").
In preparation of this, a base-line study will be done in the first half of the project which focuses on demonstrating state-of-the-art/ best practice examples for integrated revitalisation approaches for historical towns ("What can be done?").

The sum of all activities will contribute to the revitalisation and strengthening of the participating historical towns, demonstrating to decision makers the value of the built-cultural heritage as a development factor and important element of the cultural identity in the CADSES area.
